An Experience to Remember
At Cork & Candles, we invite guests to explore our scent library stocked with over 70 unique fragrances. Guests may select up to four scents, two per candle, and mix them to create a custom blend. As a result, they will create a handmade candle that has never been made before, and will never be made again!
Our Story
Cork & Candles, a family-owned small business, was born out of a passion for handcrafting quality products with a story three generations in the making. In the 1960s, Dave Straub grew up and learned the arts of painting, woodworking, and candle-making from his father, Ken. Ken passed away when Dave was 23, leaving a beautiful collection of his artworks, along with impactful lessons and memories that shaped the father Dave would become.
When Dave and his wife Sheelagh became parents, they named their son Kenny after Dave's late father. The father-son duo opened Cork & Candles with a dream of building an inviting space that would bring friends and communities together while spreading their love of handcrafting personal creations.
We believe everyone is creative and we are excited to help you unlock that creative energy as you handcraft your own custom candles!

Now Selling Ruth’s Signature Products
Who’s Ruth?
Ruth was Dave's Mother and her signature is core to what Cork & Candles is all about. If you look closely at any of the Ruth's Signature products, you'll see her signature, "With Love, Nana", which was pulled from a birthday card she wrote Kenny in 2001.
Ruth, known as Nana to her grandchildren, cared deeply for others and prioritized building meaningful relationships with the people she met. At Cork & Candles, you will find Ruth's Signature products in honor of the loving impact and memories Ruth left behind.
