Cork & Candles (“Cork & Candles,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at www.corkandcandles.com and our candle-making scent bars in King of Prussia, Center City Philadelphia, and Ardmore, Pennsylvania. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our website, book an experience, purchase a gift card, sign up for email or text messages, attend an event, or otherwise interact with us.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Information you provide directly

  • Bookings & accounts: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, party size, location preference, event date, and other details you submit when reserving a session, requesting a private event, applying for a job, or inquiring about franchising.
  • Payments: when you book a session or buy a gift card, payment is processed by our third-party payment processors (such as Toast, Bookeo, Stripe, or eCard Systems). We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; we receive limited transaction details such as confirmation, last four digits, and amount.
  • Email signups: email address and any preferences you provide when you join our newsletter or notification list.
  • SMS / text messages:mobile phone number and consent record when you opt in to receive text messages from Cork & Candles.
  • Customer support: contents of emails, contact-form submissions, or messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent.
  • Cookies and similar technologies:we and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and (where applicable) deliver advertising. See “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, confirm, and manage your bookings, gift cards, and event inquiries.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers:companies that help us run our business—such as our website host (Vercel), email service provider (Mailchimp), booking platforms (e.g. Bookeo, Toast), payment processors, gift-card platform (eCard Systems), SMS provider (Twilio), analytics providers, and customer-relationship tools—under contracts that limit their use of your information.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy.
  • Legal & safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of our guests, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
  • With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with your permission.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and message delivery (e.g. Twilio), is permitted. Message and data rates may apply. 6. Your Choices and Rights

  • Email: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any message.
  • SMS: reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help.
  • Cookies:manage cookies through your browser. Many browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting; we do not currently respond to those signals.
  • Access, correction, and deletion: depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or the EU/UK), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, or to request a copy of the data we hold. We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults age 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at create@corkandcandles.com and we will delete it.

9. International Visitors

Cork & Candles is based in the United States. If you visit our site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through our website or by other reasonable means.
